Rygan Deep Bore Anatomy
Boreholes represent a significant investment so you should expect maximum performance and efficiency for every linear downhole foot. Drilling an expensive bore only to fill it with inefficient and insulative material such plastic-based polyethylene denies you the capacity and efficiency you COULD have gotten. The inherently poor heat transfer characteristics of plastic means never realizing the full capacity and benefit of your drilling investment.
Because Rygan Deep Bore has an exponentially larger diameter than traditional plastic pipes with over triple the burst tolerance, it can achieve depths up to 1,000ft / 300m and in some cases 1,500ft / 500m without the pressure drop penalty or risk of burst damage. This also gives the Deep Bore system access a warmer portion of the formation which is off limits to others. Optimal Performance Requires Optimal Material. Optimizing bore field performance means crushing the resistance. Resistance to heat transfer presented by plastic pipes force you to drill more holes, use more land space (that may or may not be available) while increasing your drilling cost. - Lower cost in most cases Get The Most From Every Bore Give your drilling investment the respect it deserves. Rygan Deep Bore is a concentrically arranged (tube in tube) heat exchanger. Water is directed down the center channel to the bottom of the composite pipe column and returned up through the annular space between the corrugated center flow channel and pipe columns inner wall. This arrangement provides the greatest amount of heat exchanger to formation contact and thus the lowest thermal resistance of any commercially available system.
